Named for English professor Mattie Uphaus, this residence hall housing 108 men
features a student lounge and living areas designed as suites instead of utilizing
the traditional dormitory plan. Uphaus Hall was dedicated in October 1981.This residence hall provides three floors of additional housing for upperclass men. The rooms in Uphaus consist of fully-carpeted suites with three bedrooms, joined by a common living area and a bathroom. Several basement rooms in Uphaus consist of fully-carpets suites with two bedrooms and kitchen area, as well as a common living area and a bathroom. The number of occupants per suite vary from three to six men, depending on the availability of space.
