Online Databases: Mabee Library provides access to a number
of subject-oriented and general databases to the faculty and students
of MidAmerican Nazarene University. The main provider of databases is
EBSCOhost. Through EBSCOhost access is given to the following databases:
Academic Search Premier, Applied Science & Technology Abstracts, ATLA
Religion & ATLA Religion with ATLASerials, Business Source Premier,

Center, Military & Government Collection, Pre-CINAHL, PsychInfo,
Regional Business News, SportDiscus. Non-EBSCOhost databases include:

POLARIS: Mabee Library.s automated catalog and circulation
system. Searching the library's holdings has never been easier. A link
to POLARIS is provided on the main page of the library's home page.
This database allows you to create title lists with records generated
from a search, check to see when the materials you have on loan are
due back, and request items in the library's holdings to be held for
you at the Circulation Desk.
Access to this database from off-campus may be achieved by logging
in with your MNU email username and password (last name).
Interlibrary Loan: Since it is virtually impossible to own every book and journal needed by faculty and students for research, the library offers the service of interlibrary loan. There are two methods by which patrons may request items through ILL. First, search for the book or journal in Kansas Library Catalog (this link is found on the left side of the POLARIS search screen). If the item is available, click the "Request this item" tab on the top right of the screen. Fill out all the required information (highlighted red), then click the "Submit" tab. If the item is not available in Kansas, you may fill out an interlibrary loan form on the "Services" page. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. Dates due on items borrowed through ILL are dependent on the lending library. Renewals may be requested, but may not be granted.
