Program Prerequisites & General Education Courses
The courses taken to complete the requirements for the BSN degree at MidAmerica Nazarene University consist of a combination of nursing program prerequisites and General Education requirements. Students must fulfill all requirements before the degree is granted.
The nursing curriculum is comprised of three levels:
| Level I: |
completed during the freshman and sophomore years of the curriculum. Before beginning clinical courses in the junior year, courses in this level must be completed with:
- no grade lower than a C- for all prerequisite General Education courses
- no grade lower than a C for all courses with an NURS prefix (except for Biblical Perspectives where a C- is accepted)
|
| Level II: |
completed during the junior year of the nursing curriculum. All courses in this level must be completed with no grade lower than a C and completed prior to beginning clinical courses of the senior year. |
| Level III: |
completed during the senior year of the nursing curriculum with no grade lower than a C. |
Students must successfully complete each level of the curriculum before progressing to the next level.
Level I
Level I of the nursing curriculum is composed of the required nursing prerequisites listed in the left hand column below.
