The MNU Men's Soccer team is happy to announce that Matt Farag of Barton County Community College has signed a letter of intent to finish his career with the Pioneers.   His 2 years at Barton County saw him help the team to a combined 34-5 record and 2 years of undefeated regional and conference play.  Matt was a team captain this last year and as a defender helped the team to 10 shutouts.   Matt's Coach at Barton County, Oliver Twelvetrees, had this to say about him:

"Matt is a tremendous athlete with great speed and a solid left foot.  He has led the the team as a captain to a Region VI title and has started every game for two years.  I look forward to watching him help MidAmerica to future success on and off the pitch."

As a senior in high school at Wichita Northwest, Matt had 13 goals, 6 assists with 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-Region, 1st Team All-Metro, and 1st Team All-City accolades.

"We are very happy to have Matt join our program.  He is a solid defender who will be able to step in immediately and help with the transition of losing 4 defenders from this year's team." - Coach Wardlaw
The Pioneers finished the season with a second round loss in the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
