Men's Soccer Wins Non-Conference Game

The MNU Men's Soccer team picked up their 9th win of the season this afternoon. With the rain lightly falling the guys were able to get a 3-0 win over Greenville College (IL). GC is a NCAA Division III school and with the loss they fall to 9-3-2 on the season. MNU improves to 9-4.

Lucas Rodriguez scored for Pioneers in the 16th minute with a nice assist by David Gonzalez. Greenville picked up a red card in the 22nd minute and Tyler Alexander scored a tap in goal from a Jon Lemmon assist in the 33rd minute. The game became a stalemate until Tyler scored his 2nd goal of the game in the 82nd minute.

For the game MNU outshot Greenville 26-5; with SOG being 8-2. Corner kicks were 6-5 in MNU's favor. Greenville GK had 5 saves in the game. Ryan Clemens had 2 saves for MNU in earning the shutout.

The Pioneers return to action for their homecoming game against Culver-Stockton on Saturday at 3pm.
