Women's Basketball Drops 3rd Straight

The Pioneers are 3-3 after a 73-65 loss to McKendree on Friday. McKendree jumped out to a 5-point lead in the opening minutes, and led by 7 at halftime. The Pioneers fell behind by 11 early in the second half, and McKendree kept a double-digit lead throughout most of the period. A furious 16-5 run cut the lead to 3 with a minute remaining, but McKendree hit their free throws and held off the Pioneers.

Taylor Ford led the Pioneers with 17 points and 13 rebound. Amy Green had 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. JoNel Henning and Heather Cunard added 10 points. And Brooke Young had 8 points and 5 assists.

The next game is Saturday at 8pm at home vs. St. Gregory's University.
